# How to Turn On Meta CAPI for a Number

Ask 360Dialog to send WhatsApp conversion events to Meta through Meta CAPI.

Turn on Meta CAPI for a WhatsApp Business phone number. Meta can then use your conversion data to optimize your Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) campaigns.

### Before you start

Make sure all of the following are true:

Meta does not share the click ID needed for leads in the European Union (EU). CAPI cannot optimize campaigns for those leads.

* You completed onboarding and connected your Meta account. See [How to Onboard](/360pilot/setup-and-billing/how-to-onboard.md). 
* You run CTWA campaigns with this WhatsApp Business phone number.
* You defined at least one funnel for the conversion you want Meta to optimize. See [How to Define a Funnel with a Text Pixel](/360pilot/funnels-dashboard/how-to-define-a-funnel-with-a-text-pixel.md).

### Request Meta CAPI activation

#### Gather the details

Include the following in your request:

* The WhatsApp Business phone number used in your CTWA campaigns.
* Your use case, such as lead qualification, appointment booking, or purchase confirmation.
* The conversion event that represents success.
* The funnels to send to Meta, if you use more than one.

#### Send your request

#### Wait for confirmation

360Dialog enables Meta CAPI for the phone number. Your Account Manager or Support confirms when activation is complete.
