# WhatsApp Business Accounts

A **WhatsApp Business account** (also known as **WABA**) stores the phone numbers registered in the WhatsApp Business Platform.&#x20;

### WABA Types

There are two WABA types:

* **WhatsApp Business app account**: This account can be created directly in the Meta Business Suite, and allows connecting a phone number to both the WhatsApp Business app and the WhatsApp Business Platform using [coexistence](https://docs.360dialog.com/docs/resources/phone-numbers/coexistence "mention"). This type of account can only have one phone number, and cannot be migrated to another Meta business portfolio.
* **WhatsApp Business Platform account**: This account can be created through a BSP like 360Dialog, and is used exclusively for the WhatsApp Business Platform. This type of account can have many phone numbers and can be migrated to another Meta business portfolio.

### Access WABAs

WhatsApp Accounts can be viewed in Meta Business Manager > **WhatsApp Accounts**.&#x20;

Click **WhatsApp Manager** to access the WABA Settings.&#x20;

### Limitations

* A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) can have a maximum of 250 message templates.
* Meta Business Accounts are initially limited to 2 registered business phone numbers, but this limit can be increased to up to 20. See Registered Number Limits.
* Meta Business Accounts are initially limited to 20 WABAs.
* A WABA must belong to only one Business Manager. You cannot have two or more Business Managers owning one WABA.
* A WABA’s time zone and currency cannot be edited once a line of credit has been attached to it. You cannot migrate a WABA from one business to another.

### Message Limits

Phone number Messaging limits are calculated and set at the business portfolio level and are shared by all business phone numbers within a portfolio. Read more about message limits.&#x20;

### WABA ID

Each WABA has a unique WhatsApp Business Account ID (or WABA ID). The WABA ID is shown in the WhatsApp Accounts page under the WABA Name.&#x20;

### Create a WABA

The only method to create a WABA with 360dialog is by using [the Embedded Signup](https://docs.360dialog.com/docs/hub/embedded-signup) flow. This is required to access 360dialog's Credit Line.&#x20;
