Onboarding

This documentation aims to guide partners on how to onboard clients in the Beta version of Meta’s MM Lite API.

Preparations

Before starting the onboarding process, please ensure the following:

  • Your Partner ID is approved for the Beta program. You can request access by emailing [email protected].

  • The user performing the onboarding must have:

Onboarding is done per Business Manager, so all phone numbers under that Business Manager will be enabled for MM Lite after onboarding.

Onboarding Process

Clients can onboard their business to the MM Lite API using the Alpha-Beta-Onboarding service via the link provided by the project team.

  1. After logging in, click “Add a new number.”

  2. When prompted, select the following options:

    • Alpha callback

    • Yes, this number is connected to WhatsApp Business API

    • Yes, planning to send marketing messages from this number

  3. Start the Embedded Signup (ES) process.

  4. When asked, select your Business Portfolio to continue.

Once you click “Finish,” you can close the tab — no need to send a new OTP.

How to onboard on MM Lite Beta

Completion

Once the ES process is completed:

  • All eligible WABAs in your account will be onboarded to MM Lite.

  • A read-only ad account will be created for each eligible WABA to show campaign results.

  • The onboarding takes up to 10 minutes after completing the ES process.

  • Any new WABAs added after onboarding will require a new ES process to enable MM Lite.
