Delete a Number in Meta Business Manager

After deleting a phone number from Meta Business Manager, you have two options for its future use:

• Mobile App Use: It can be registered in the standard WhatsApp Messenger (consumer) app or the WhatsApp Business App

• Platform Re-registration: It can be registered once again on the WhatsApp Business Platform (API)

Restrictions:

• Only clients (not integration partners) can request deletion of numbers.

• Only a business admin can cancel a channel.

• A channel cannot be deleted if paid messages were sent in the past 30 days. In that case, you will be redirected to check the last paid message date. Cancellation will only be possible 30 days later.

To delete a number from a WABA:

Cancel channel subscription using this article.

In Business Manager, go to Business Settings > WhatsApp Accounts > WhatsApp Manager > Phone Numbers.

Find the number you want to delete and click the trash icon.

Confirm the phone to be deleted and press Next.

Enter your pasword and select the reason for deletion.

Press delete to finish the process.
