Before creating a WhatsApp Business API account, please check the prerequisites page.
When you are creating a WABA, it can be done in two different ways:
To create a new account using a phone number that has never been used in any WhatsApp Account, use an Embedded Signup entry point such as an Integration Partner or our signup page. You can create a new Meta Business Account or connect to an existing one during the Embedded Signup process.
Since February 2025, you can create a WABA with a phone number that is already registered in the Android, iPhone, or Business versions of WhatsApp without deleting it.
Once the number is successfully onboarded, you will be able to use the WhatsApp Business API to message customers at scale, and still have the ability to send messages on a one-to-one basis using the WhatsApp Business App.
To start this onboarding, you must select "Yes, this number is connected to WhatsApp Business App" during the Embedded Signup. For more details, see our documentation.
You can create WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABAs) directly in the 360dialog Hub by triggering the Embedded Signup.
This means you can easily set up new WABAs, move numbers between different WhatsApp Business accounts, and also, switch a number from the Classic model to the Embedded model, as long as you're using the same Business Manager.
Please refer to our documentation and follow the steps outlined to successfully generate a new WABA.
